Good morning!
Tomorrow is the first day of April, which means March Madness is coming to a close and there’s less than a day to come up with a great prank.
Alright, now for the news.
New Product from Aquanology
Aquanology just launched the Interflo QuadPro SST, a tankless RO system, and the team says there are a few things that set it apart. First, it pumps out a whopping 700 gallons per day which makes it suitable for both residential and light commercial applications like coffee shops. The tankless design means fresher water and saves valuable under-sink space at just six inches wide. Water waste has been a longtime RO complaint, but the QuadPro boasts a 3:1 efficiency ratio (3 glasses of purified water for every 1 glass of waste) - a major improvement over traditional systems. Another interesting feature is its patented flush technology that tackles "TDS creep". The system is WQA certified against NSF/ANSI 58 standards and uses larger, longer-lasting filters (12 months for standard filters, 48 months for the membrane). That said there are downsides like how it requires a 110v power source, and replacement filters cost more than standard RO units.
Switching to Alkaline Water
Family-owned and Phoenix-based Complete Water Systems is targeting homeowners with a new guide on alkaline water. The article explains that alkaline water has a pH about 1-2 levels higher than regular water (typically 8-9 pH) thanks to minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium. While scientific evidence remains limited, the team highlights three main selling points for alkaline systems in Phoenix's dry climate: improved hydration through better cellular absorption, acid reflux relief by neutralizing stomach acid, and potential antioxidant properties. The article suggests two main options for customers interested in alkaline water: bottled water (expensive long-term) or installing a reverse osmosis system with an alkaline filter (like their "Pro Series 6 Stage" system that raises pH by 1-2 levels).

2025 Trends in Clean Water
The water filtration world is changing fast in 2025, according to Waterworld USA’s latest trend report. The team says that smart systems with phone alerts are becoming the new normal, letting customers know exactly when to change filters. Eco-friendly options are gaining ground as dealers and customers both look to reduce plastic waste. Technology is moving forward too, with graphene filters, nanotechnology, and electrochemical systems making water cleaner than ever. Whole-house filtration continues to be a top seller as homeowners want clean water throughout their homes, not just at the kitchen sink. Health-focused options like hydrogen-rich water and remineralized RO systems are also trending up. And in news for dealers, subscription filter services are creating reliable recurring revenue while ensuring customers always have fresh filters.

Is Mineral Water Good for You?
In a recent Springwell article, Tommy Stricklin breaks down mineral water to understand if it's really worth the hype. According to FDA standards, true mineral water must come from protected underground sources and contain at least 250 ppm of naturally occurring dissolved solids (minerals can't be added afterward). The article explains that mineral water gets its calcium, magnesium, and other minerals by filtering through rock formations, with different mineral combinations creating distinct flavors. While there are some health benefits, like how calcium from mineral water is as bioavailable as dairy, Stricklin suggests dealers focus on a more practical solution for customers: filtered tap water. His key arguments against mineral water include its high cost (3,000% more expensive than tap), potential for mineral overconsumption, microplastic concerns (found in 7 of 9 tested bottled waters), and environmental impact. He also notes that filtered tap water has 85% less energy use and 79% fewer emissions than bottled alternatives.
